World’s first concept tire design service launched

Filed under: Tires — Notch @ 2:52 pm

RUBBER MARKET NEWS reports that UK-based industrial design associates, Dolton & Dex, are launching the world’s first concept tire design service. The service focuses on visually striking concept designs as well as the technical elements. “More often than not, it is an area of the vehicle that designers feel they have a lack of control over. This comes down to the designers from the OEM and the engineers from the tyre manufacturer speaking two entirely different languages,” explained Dolton. “We can explain to the design studio how the tyre will be manufactured and the limitations of the process. And, in terms of the tyre manufacturer, we will explain exactly what the designers are looking for and how to achieve it.”

  1. You should be aware that Rubber Market News lifts stories from other sources – they dolittle or no research themselves.

I wrote that story for ERJ. In fact, I have a much longer version of it going into the next issue.

PS good to make contact on LinkedIn. We may need to talk about a few things soon.
